Hull Dance provides an independent, informed local voice, working in partnership with Hull City Council to develop Dance across the city supporting the delivery of the cultural strategy and vision for a dance centre at the heart of our thriving city.

Keyna Paul - Artistic Director

Keyna has been involved with dance for almost thirty years, along the way she has performed, choreographed and taught in many different settings as well as mentoring other dance professionals to do the same. She first worked in Hull in the 1990s before crossing the bridge to establish and nurture a thriving dance culture in Lincolnshire. She is an advocate for dance, has been external examiner for the Post graduate, Dance in the Community Programme at Trinity Laban, Chaired several arts boards and is author of the Haynes Dance Manual. She is very pleased to have found her way back to Hull.

Tara McKeown - Associate Producer

Tara came on board with the Hull Dance Team in 2016 as a Creative Apprentice, focusing on marketing and profile raising through social media. She also produced the Hull Dance Prize and Transgressions becoming Assistant Producer in January 2017. Tara trained at The Gaiety School of Acting based in Dublin, before returning home to focus on her dance career. With a focus on providing opportunities for young people, she is now a professional Irish Dancer and runs her own Irish Dance Academy in Hull and East Riding. Tara has just recently graduated from the National Film and Television School as part of the first ever Casting Certificate cohort.

Rosie Goodman - PR Consultant

Rosie has been a journalist, content writer and small business owner since graduating from Leeds Trinity and All Saints University 20 years ago. She loves to use creativity to develop content and storylines focusing on communities for marketing and PR. Having studied an MA in multimedia journalism which included PR, Digital media, broadcast and audio she has a wide vision to bring to the marketing of Hull Dance. With two young children to entertain, Rosie spends most of her time painting, playing and dancing with them. A lover of running, audio documentaries and a keen eye for design.

Jack Hodson - Website administrator

Jack joined the Hull Dance team in 2018. He has worked in IT website design and administration for a healthcare events company since 2004. He brings invaluable technical knowledge to the organisation and became more central to the activities during the pandemic. He thinks differently to the rest of the team and finds working with Hull Dance intriguing, he has enjoyed exploring his more creative side. Jack has a 5 year old son and when he has times enjoys tinkering with Alfa Romeos, 3D printing, radio controlled planes, trains and automobiles.
